what makes Art different from creativity

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share I always think what makes Art different from creativity and from just doing things. Why artists, scientists, hackers, architects, and others can call themselves an artist?

I got a new idea, is:

Passion and Love 

When you love what you do and are passionate about it, then you go beyond standards, structures, and rules. In any industry and in anything that you do. 

As long as you go by the rules you are not an artist. 

You can see it by the artists who got a degree but we would never call them artists as they stick to the industry and society rules. They don’t make anything new.

But you still can create something new without passion. 

Creating new without passion is being creative. (nothing bad about it)

But when you have passion, you love what you do, the world is stopped and the rules disappear then you create your own rules and works of art.

Steve Jobs was an artist, he created a revolution in the industry going against data and what people wanted. Even though he still had his logic which was correct, but he was crazy enough and passionate to build something new at the market.

I believe people in economics can be artists. Daniel Kahneman is an artist too as he broke all the rules and got a Nobel in the economy even though he is a psychologist. 

The architect who just listens to the client’s wants and even when he likes what he does to pursue his way is not an artist but an architect, meanwhile Zaha Hadid is an artist who created her style and no matter what pursued it, which is very rare nowadays.

When you are in love — the world does not exist, and rules do not exist. 

And people who say art is more than politics are right because when you are passioned and in love you go in-depth of the topic, and in that depth, there are no more rules and you can see and create from a completely new place.

It’s more impactful. 

Because you can show a new perspective, you can show that 2+2= whatever you want… 

And you can do it in any industry, in anything (just don't do it in medicine... unless you don't harm people and you are da Vinci) 

Maybe, art is when we have mental levitation among the society norms….. even though not every artist end up in a gallery, but it’s another story.
